As the light falls on the fluff of this beautiful fluff ball of a Tragopogon, the golden-brown fluff almost seems to light up. That was exactly what I wanted to achieve with this picture. An image that has something fragile and refined, but is also clearly present in the photo and almost fills the frame. I made the fluff stand out and put them clearly in the foreground. This comes across particularly well, I think, because of the contrast between the golden brown colour of the fluff and the petrol background.
The title "Golden brown fluff in the warm light: Eyecatcher from the heart" I chose it because it looks like I took the picture almost from the heart of the Tragopogon's fluff ball.
I chose the depth of field in this photo so that the sharpness is at the transition from the stalk to the fine fluffy part of the two middle front fluffy parts. From there, the sharpness gradually decreases towards both the front and back. This creates a sense of depth in the photo and, at the same time, a sense of calm. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see this beautifully. It also creates a kind of abstraction in the photo. The fluff turns into a kind of play of lines.
