The golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is a bird of prey from the family of hawks (Accipitridae). The golden eagle has a length of 80 cm to 93 cm with a wingspan of 1.90 to 2.25 m[3] and is therefore one of the largest eagles in the northern hemisphere.
