About ‘Golden reed plumes’ by Erik Buitenhuis

The low sun shines through the thin wisps of cloud. The backlight falls on the tufts of reeds, shining through them and turning them a beautiful golden yellow. The horizontal line of the horizon and the sloping line of the bank contrast beautifully with the vertical reeds. The photograph was taken at the Thesingermaar.

I love travelling, ice skating and photography. I did a lot of the latter whilst travelling, but having taken part in a few photography projects, I now view photography differently and make different choices.

I’m an amateur but enjoy sharing my work with others, for a small fee (the vast majority of the costs are for materials and processing).
