The RHEINPARK DUISBURG in Hochfeld is one of the most popular destinations in the city. The 60 hectare area is a fine example of how local recreational idylls can be created from old industrial sites. Two bridges and two underpasses cross the freight railway line running parallel to the banks of the Rhine, thus linking the park with its 1.4 km long riverside promenade. The foot and cycle path of the Duisburg-Hochfeld railway bridge crossing the Rhine is directly connected to the area. There is also a small restaurant with an outdoor area on the park grounds.
