In this beautiful abandoned and dilapidated villa somewhere in France stands this beautiful but very neglected grand piano, the piano stool is still in front of it, as if the occupants might return any moment for a cosy get-together with piano music. Unfortunately, the villa has been empty for years, the wallpaper and paint are coming off the walls, and everything is covered in a thick layer of dust and dirt. The painting, the wall panels, the thick oriental carpets tell a story of better, and prosperous times. The villa is huge, with many rooms and bedrooms, and a large hall with a beautiful marble staircase. Decayed glory, and the villa is now in a very poor state. Entering such a beautiful abandoned villa, I can vividly imagine how people must have once lived here, I can almost hear the people talking and laughing. The rooms have a cheerful feel to them because of the bright use of colour, and have lovely light from the many windows in the building. Once a great home, now beautiful to me because of the decay, and the atmosphere still present in the villa. I try to capture this atmosphere in my photographs. In special photos for the wall.
