This is one of the famous Greek temples, located on the Italian coast in the town of Paestum. Amidst fields of fragrant flowers and chirping crickets, these ruins tower high above the plain. In the 7th century B.C. the ancient Greeks came ashore here and founded a colony and started to build these huge buildings, to worship their gods. In recent centuries, these ruins have been abandoned and fell into disrepair. Now you can still see the remains of this once mighty Greek colony.
