"Green Sea Turtle in Gorgonian Patch, Bonaire" photograph was taken at the Oil Slick Leap dive site in Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands. It is not just fish that can blend-in on the reef. I saw this very large Green Sea Turtle at the end of my dive just resting in the overhanging gorgonians. I got as low as I could to shoot up into the sliver of sunlight that was illuminating her head and shell. Trying to time the swaying gorgonians moving all around her was a challenge. The result was this Sea Turtle portrait. No bright reef colors here, just understated beauty that reflects the more subtle shapes and colors of the natural world.
