I’m Paul, and since 2016 I have been photographing abandoned places across Europe under the name “Times of Impermanence”. My travels have taken me to around 3,000 such places in 27 countries – from villas and castles to theatres, places of worship and disused industrial sites. My photography focuses on the beauty of decay, extraordinary architecture and the interplay between nature and impermanence.
