Groovy – Minimalist Typographic Art on Graph Paper by Hilde Remerie – Digital Art, Bauhaus & Photography

Groovy is a minimalist and contemporary typographic artwork that brings together language, graphic design and the nostalgic feel of a lecture notebook. The word GROOVY is displayed large and centrally in a refined black typeface. The letters have a light, weathered texture, giving the text a subtle vintage feel.

Beneath the English word is the Korean character for ‘Groovy’. This combination of different writing styles gives the artwork a surprisingly international and graphic character. Together, the two layers of text form the central image and strike a fine balance between recognisability and abstraction.

The background is rendered in soft cream and beige tones and features a delicate grid of thin lines. This chequered pattern is reminiscent of paper from a school exercise book or lecture notepad and lends the artwork a personal, creative atmosphere. The calm colours and minimalist composition ensure that the typography really comes into its own.

Groovy fits well within a modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, Japandi or retro interior. Thanks to its neutral colours, the artwork is easy to combine with wood, beige, white, black and other natural shades. It looks lovely in a living room, bedroom, home office, office or creative studio.

This piece is a stylish choice for lovers of typographic art, minimalist posters, graphic art and unique text art. Groovy combines a playful message with a calm design and a subtle vintage feel, making it both decorative and full of character.
