Eight-thirty in the morning, then there is a special light in the house. The sun is already up, casting heavy shadows in the living room, or in this case on a still life, on a dresser. The vase is more than richly filled with colorful flowers. There is a still empty vase next to it, ready to be filled just as richly. The large pine cone in front of it may have been found by someone in the woods. The clock shows the time, 8:30 in the morning. The atmosphere of this colorful, picturesque still life is that of the golden age. The colors reflect that as well. Warm with a nice warm golden glow. The colors used are gold, red, orange, green, brown, blue-green, of course in many shades and nuances. This work fits in a classic interior, certainly, but also in a modern interior. Classic and modern really go well together.
As an artist, I like to enter a colorful world especially the world of flowers. This colourful and so positive world appeals to me enormously. Flowers spread a positive atmosphere because of the colors and the beautiful and diverse shapes and one can never get enough of that!.. Read more…
