About ‘Havana Cuba Classic Cars’ by Carina Buchspies

Classic cars belong to Cuba like salsa, tobacco and rum. The classic cars that seem so nostalgic date back to the time before the Cuban Revolution of 1959: Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick. 75,000 of these "Almendrones", as the Cubans call these cars, are said to still exist in Cuba - around 10,000 in Havana alone. For nostalgia and car fans, the classic cars in Cuba are a true paradise. Cuba's classic cars are more than just a cultural asset of the island nation - every classic car in Cuba is unique and a symbol of the trade embargo and its consequences. Of the 15,000 remaining classic cars from Cuba's pre-revolutionary period, most are now to be found in Havana, Cuba's classic car stronghold. And unlike the many classic cars in European garages, the historic cars in Cuba are driven on a daily basis. Because the classic cars are not only everyday vehicles for the Cubans but also a dazzling tourist attraction.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
