A Hawker Hunter jet fighter of the Dutch Royal Air Force (KLu). The Hawker Hunter is a British jet fighter from the 1950s. The Hunter served with the Royal Air Force for many years and was also exported in large numbers. There were 1972 Hunters built by Hawker Siddeley and under licence. The Hawker Hunter has served in the air forces of a total of 19 countries. In the Royal Air Force, Hunter F.4s, F.6s and T.7s served between 1955 and 1968. The type was replaced by the Lockheed F-104G Starfighter.
