"Heads up! A dried damselfly-in-the-green lets its head hang" is a macro photo of a dried box fruit of a damselfly-in-the-green (also called Nigella Damascena). The stem of this plant is kinked, making this dried little plant appear to let its head hang. A simple, calm image which has a natural look.
When taking this photo, I opted for a not too large depth of field, this allows everything in front and behind the focus area to gradually fade away. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see this. The background has a fairly even shade of brown - taupe beige-like colour, which creates a calm and natural look.
Associations with this work: dry flower, simplicity, broken, kink, peace, sadness, impermanence.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration, on aluminium or ArtFrame, for example, in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
