The Heidelberger Platz metro station, on the U3, in the West Berlin district of Wilmersdorf, is one of the most beautiful metro stations in Berlin. High ceilings, cross vaults, stone columns, arches, old-fashioned benches, authentic lighting and other details. After its restoration in 1993, the station was completely modernised and became a protected monument. The station was opened on 13 October 1913.
Designed by Wilhelm Leitgebel, the station crosses the overhead railway line.
