Pieter Schenk the younger was the son of Pieter Schenk the elder, who was originally a German engraver and cartographer. In 1731, he lived in the Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam. Pieter Schenk II died in 1775 and was buried in a building on Kalverstraat. Schenk is primarily known as the maker of Saxon maps and city plans.
