A dreamlike sunset by the sea in winter. This work of art was inspired by a winter walk along the coast of the island of Hiddensee. The setting sun bathes the sea, moved by shallow waves, in an intense glowing red and colours the white of the snow-covered shore a fascinating pink. The long shadows created by the low position of the sun lend the picture depth and contrast.
