A pen drawing after a study by Hieronymus Bosch, described as 2 monsters. The monsters are funny, fascinating, threatening and you wonder how he came up with these forms. Often Hieronymus Bosch used hybrid forms of animals and humans, such as the head-feet, in this hybrid form (above) we see something of a dragon, a bald chicken and the legs of a human. In his time, all images had special meanings, often moralistic. They were often about disapproving of drink, adultery, gluttony, cheating, laziness, etc.
Animals were often depicted because they also had a meaning.
