Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Hippocampus bargibanti’ by Enak Cortebeeck

This Hippocampus bargibanti is one of the only 8 known species of pygmy seahorse. Pygmys are the smallest of all seahorses, usually measuring less than 2 cm (0,79 in), and are masters in camouflage.
They inhabit one gorgonian coral their whole lives and take on its colors.

They are so hard to find, that so little is known…

Enak Cortebeeck

Antwerpen, Belgium

ENAK CORTEBEECK is an Antwerp-based art director and designer, working in film, television, children’s media, user experience and socio-cultural campaigns. He has worked for clients including the BBC, Warner Bros., the European Union and De Filistijnen.

As well as his work as a designer, Enak is an underwater photographer. In his images, he explores texture, colour and the silent geometry of coral ecosystems.
