"Holiday feeling in pastel colours: A drill mussel shell" is a macro photo of a piece of a beautiful drill mussel. A small part of this shell can be seen (The part with the beautiful lines (on the left of the photo).
Behind this shell of the borer mussel is another two shells, but it is vaguely present in the background due to the chosen settings (small depth of field) of my camera. As a result, the colour is partly reflected in the line pattern also in the background, but the focus remains on the front shell.
The background is of a separate material with a texture in it. This material reflects the shell and the texture creates a painterly, abstract-feeling image. It looks like little waves of water, which is of course very appropriate for the subject of this picture. The background of this piece is turquoise, which is reflected in the top left corner and a little in the reflection.
This picture could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on, for example, aluminium or ArtFrame) in the cottage, waiting room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the sofa!
