The name says it all, this was on the Holywell Beach of the English town of Eastbourne, where my in-laws are from and we often go on holiday.
I have always marvelled at the idyllic wooden beachheads combined with the shingle beaches, which to me symbolise the coast in England. I enjoy looking for fossils and fun stones on pebble beaches like this - or practising stone chipping (when this sea is calm). This work is painted on location. As a high exception, this work is also offered as a print. I don't normally sell prints of my plein air drawings - in order to leave the original in its value. However, the original painting was given as a gift to my in-laws and not sold, so in this case there is no buyer to whom I grant exclusive rights. Enjoy!
