In Horizons in Orange, I explore the power of colour, texture and stillness. This abstract work is composed of horizontal strips in warm hues such as orange, terracotta and ochre, which exude a natural tranquillity. It evokes a sense of a landscape at sunset, without becoming concrete - leaving room for the viewer's own interpretation.
The frame, with its marbled golden texture, enhances the feeling of a painting within a painting. The whole piece exudes a warm atmosphere and fits perfectly into a modern or timeless interior. The subdued movement and colour combinations make this work a resting point on the wall, and at the same time a subtle eye-catcher.
