Horst Castle is a medieval moated castle, situated in green surroundings with canada forests and ponds fed by the river Winge. The keep is 22 metres high and was built at the end of the 14th century. The highest floor with battlements and wall walk was added after 1489. The last owner, Marie-Anne van den Tympel, occupied the moated castle until the end of the 17th century. She also had the stables and the carriage house built. The other buildings, grouped around a pentagonal courtyard, are 18th century. The moated castle of Horst is the home of Johan, the Red Knight.
