IJS barbed wire,
I was able to make these unusual shapes hanging from a barbed wire in the floodplains of my village .
Nature is so beautiful and so this time my eye fell on the beautiful works of art (ice) that nature makes.
The period before I could take this photo, it had rained a lot.
The rivers were too high and the water got into the floodplains meant for that.
After the rainy period, many meadows were flooded.
Then a cold spell followed and the water froze.
But the water level also subsided, creating beautiful works of art on the barbed wire.
It was not easy to take this photo afterwards.
It was quite far from the dyke and I had to climb over fences to get anywhere near it.
I also had to climb over the ice on the meadows, but because there was a lot of air underneath, I often fell through and ended up in the clay.
Nevertheless, I managed to take this photo at the right height.
For me, it was the first time I had witnessed this beautiful natural phenomenon.
My fingers were frozen but despite this I still managed to press the shutter button.
Later, when I was warmed up at home with a hot cup of coffee, I was able to view the photos's on my computer.
It was all worth it and I am glad I did it.
My biggest hobby is photography.
I prefer to let my camera out every day in search of beautiful pictures.
I like morning photography best. Preferably a beautiful sunrise combined with a hint of mist. I can really enjoy this...
