Svínafellsjökull glacier is a tributary of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. This wonderful tributary is easily accessible with a hiking trail from the car park. I took this photo around midsummer, when the lupins are in bloom. I think this gives a very pretty foreground to the glacier.
