Besançon Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Jean or St John's Cathedral) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of Besançon in France.
Under the Holy Roman Empire, it was the main church of the Princely Archdiocese of Besançon, until today of the Archdiocese of Besançon. The first cathedral in the town of Bisanz was built under Charlemagne but was not completed until the year of his death (814). It was completely rebuilt in the 12th century and again in the 18th century.
