On this cold morning, I stood still, alone, with the smell of wet forest and the soft rustling of the wind around me. The mist slid slowly down the valley - as if it wanted to hide and reveal something at the same time. The trees came and disappeared, like shadows from a dream. It felt almost sacred.
I made this image in the mountains, where silence becomes audible and time seems to slow down. I was touched by the interplay of the mist, the bare winter trees and the dark pines lining the hills like sentinels. Everything was silent except my breath and the click of the shutter.
What appeals to me about this photograph is the sense of calm, the power of simplicity, and the natural harmony between light, form and emptiness. It is a minimalist landscape, but also an intimate portrait of winter nature.
I hope this print becomes a place for you to return to. A reminder of calm. A window to nature.
