This photo was inspired by the incidence of light on one of my favourite stems. Cogongrass grows quite often in suriname and is beautiful to see when the sun goes down. I drove past this field like days and took a picture in my head each time. I decided to put myself in the cutting grass one day and shoot a silhouette of myself. The intention was to express my love for the grass. A single stem by itself is not so beautiful but thousands of them together sparkle like silver in the sun. The grass always makes me think of how beautiful it can be when we as humans work together.
