About the artwork

Ilse is fascinated by the connection between heart and brain. She draws these often, in many different techniques.

Relaxation, from the head to the heart; these are universal themes that keep us busy in our busy daily lives.

This black and white illustration of the brain and the heart visualizes the deeply rooted connection between what we feel and what we think.

Thus, brain and heart joined together do look like a tree, with its roots in the universe.
And rendered in this way, a scientific fact; the existence of both human parts, is visualized in a beautiful and somewhat spiritual way.

The original is a handmade pencil and pen drawing in A5 format. Scanned at very high resolution and digitally processed.

Because the connection is a universal truth, I have placed the illustration in a subtle starry sky, which gives a mystical depth to the drawing;

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
