Invisible Together | A Figurative Portrait of Connection Beyond the World by KRAB

The world does not see them. That is precisely why they are here. Two figures lean towards each other in a space that is nowhere — no city, no room, no time. Black hair falls like a curtain around them, as if they have shut themselves off from everything that exists outside them. The world keeps turning. They do not. They stand still within each other, in a connection that needs no audience and seeks no validation.

The palette is dark and dense: deep blacks, a grey-green background dissolving into mist, water that is barely water. Colours that keep the outside world at bay.

From a distance, this is a powerful, sculptural composition — two figures becoming a single form. Up close, something else strikes you: the familiarity of a connection you cannot explain to those who were not there. Being together whilst the rest of the world carries on. Being seen by just one person — and that is enough.

This work is for an interior that makes room for something greater than mere decoration. The square format works as a solitary statement on a large wall in a modern, warm minimalist or hotel-chic living room — or in a bedroom as a silent witness to what exists between two people without words. A work that not everyone understands, and which, for the right buyer, is precisely the reason to want it.

Available on Dibond or canvas via Werk aan de Muur, amongst other formats — on Dibond, the deep black retains its full impact. For those who know what it’s like to share a world of their own with someone. Digital art by Karina Brouwer — created in Delft.
