About "Iris - Sword lily"

About the artwork

The picture shows a close-up of an iris flower with intense blue petals. At the centre of the composition is the characteristic yellow "beard" of the iris, which stands out clearly against the cool blue of the flowers. The fine textures and patterns on the petals lend the flower an almost graphic quality, which is further emphasised by the natural light.

The inspiration for this picture was the special colour composition of this iris variant. I was interested in how the strong colour tones and the soft shapes influence each other - an interplay of contrast and harmony. The aim was to capture this moment of floral tension in a clear, minimalist visual language.

The atmosphere I want to create with this work is calm, but visually present. It is about conscious seeing - an invitation to engage with details that are often overlooked in everyday life.

In interior design, this picture acts as a striking colour accent. Particularly in light-coloured or neutral rooms, it adds depth and structure without dominating - a quiet statement in favour of the beauty of natural forms.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
