About ‘Island on a Cliff’ by Gerben Kolk

In this photo, we see the island of Naxos from the perspective of a high cliff, where the rough, bright blue sea crashes powerfully against the rocks. The white foam of the waves sprays high with each collision with the cliff, highlighting the untamed force of the sea. Above the island, ominous gray clouds hang, slowly drifting toward the village, while the sun casts a few last rays on the stone houses in the distance. The cliffs themselves are rugged and steep, with deep grooves that testify to centuries of exposure to the elements. The contrast between the brightness of the sea and the dark clouds approaching the island creates a dramatic yet calming image of Naxos. The atmosphere of the photo captures a moment when the power of nature and the serene beauty of the island meet, with the spring sun slowly disappearing behind the approaching clouds.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
