About ‘Island tranquillity and wave poetry’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

A lonely longtail boat nestles gently on the golden sandy beach of Koh Ngai Island, as if taking a quiet break in the middle of eternity. The Andaman Sea glistens in vivid turquoise and emerald, while gentle waves roll ashore, breaking the silence with a soft whisper. The bow of the boat, decorated with colourful cloths, points out to sea - a symbol of longing and freedom.
In the background, karstic islands rise out of the water like dreaming giants, their silhouettes blurred in the haze of the horizon. The clouds dance leisurely across the vast firmament, as if in dialogue with the wind. Everything seems to stand still at this moment - only the constant breathing of the sea reminds us that the calm is also part of a larger movement.
Here, in the province of Satun in the south of Thailand, time has become meaningless. The rhythm of life is determined by the water, not by clocks. The longtail boat "SEA BOY" rests as if it has countless stories to tell of distant islands, night-time journeys and fleeting encounters. A picture full of poetry that awakens a longing for faraway places - and at the same time reveals the beauty of pausing for a moment.
