Japandi Cherry Blossom Dream

by Christian Ovís

‘Japandi Cherry Blossom Dream’ features red blossom branches in a low, wide vase standing on a light-coloured surface. The vase is a soft cream-pink colour and has a rounded body with a narrow, dark opening. The branches spread out widely to the left and right, with open red flowers and small buds. The background is a warm taupe-brown and remains virtually empty.

The composition emphasises the lines of the branches. Dark branches form an airy network above the compact vase. On the left, several flowers hang close together; on the right, loose blossoms and bare sections of branch alternate. The bright red hues stand out vividly against the muted surroundings. Soft light casts rounded shadows on the vase and gives it a faint outline. The light surface provides a clear horizontal foundation beneath the dynamic branch forms.

This red blossom wall decoration complements a Japandi, minimalist or contemporary interior. Taupe and cream combine with wood and natural tones; red can be used as a small colour accent in accessories. The piece is suitable for a living room, bedroom or hall. A plain wall complements the open composition. From a distance, the broad branches and red flowers stand out. Up close, you can see the buds, the centres of the flowers and subtle shadows on the vase.
