Japandi Relief – A Landscape of Tranquillity by AidasignArt

This panoramic wall art offers a poetic bird’s-eye view of an imaginary landscape. Large, organically shaped areas come together to form an abstract topography in which water, vegetation and earth merge into a tranquil composition.

On the far left and along the top edge of the picture, tranquil lakes appear in a deep, muted ink blue. Between them, a broad, organically curved stretch of land in various shades of olive and natural green runs through the composition. From there, the landscape extends diagonally downwards to the right, gradually transitioning into warm, earthy browns, taupes and sandy tones. Darker sedimentary layers provide striking accents and lend the abstract landscape depth and a geological quality.

The expansive areas of colour are constructed as sculptural reliefs. Fine grooves created with a palette knife follow the respective forms and are reminiscent of natural traces of erosion, sedimentary deposits and naturally formed layers of earth. Raised, irregular transitions reinforce the impression of a landscape that has been shaped and transformed over long periods of time.

Through its deliberate simplicity, the work combines the aesthetics of Japandi with the quiet beauty of imperfection. Earthy colours, organic forms and the tactile surface create a calm, timeless atmosphere – an abstract landscape that does not depict anything, but leaves room for one’s own perception and inner peace.
