A beautiful bridge in Hoi An. Hoi An was an important trading center in the 16th and 17th centuries. Then traders came from China, Japan, Holland and India. At the time of trade relations with China, the town was called Hai Pho (place by the sea). Originally, Hai Pho was separated into two city parts; across the "Japanese Bridge" was a Japanese settlement.
