The inspiration for this work came from observing autumnal changes in a Japanese garden. I was particularly interested in how light and colour are reflected in the filigree structures of the leaves and how the moment of transition - between summer and autumn - can be captured visually.
The aim was to create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. The picture is not intended to overwhelm, but to invite contemplation. It conveys a sense of change, but also of constancy - a quiet reference to the cycles of nature.
In interior design, this picture acts as a subtle but effective colour accent. It is particularly suitable for rooms in which a natural, warm atmosphere is desired - for example in work areas, corridors or quiet zones.
