Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Just the two of us’ by Iris van Heusden

The work shows a cow in close-up, with a small bird resting on her ear. The inspiration comes from observing everyday scenes in the countryside, where different animals share each other's space. The soft air and warm colour palette create a calm, open atmosphere. The stark difference in scale creates a surprising balance in the composition. This contrast makes the image light and playful. At the same time, it evokes a feeling of calm and acceptance. The message lies in the idea that different worlds can coexist effortlessly. I am always inspired by the paintings of 'Oude Meesters'; I find the atmosphere, colours and light fascinating! I try to emulate this in my photography.

My work consists of various carefully composed photo's, merged into one new image. This combination makes the work completely original and unavailable anywhere else. My special editing technique for my photo's makes it seem as if you are looking at a painting.

My name is Iris van Heusden, born in Amsterdam and living in Oirschot. For me, photography is an expression of my creativity. In every photograph I take, I am inspired by the work of the 'Old Masters'. I find the light, the atmosphere shown in their works phenomenal. I try to emulate those. Them brush for me is my camera, and with the processing I apply to the photos, the photo ultimately looks like a painting.
