Fine art portrait: Kahlo's dreams 5.
A Mexican painter, Frida is one of the most famous and talented artists of her time. When she was six, she was struck down by the disease infantile paralysis and at 18 she had a violent bus accident. During this accident, one of her feet was crushed and a metal piece of handrail from the bus pierced her lower back and hip to come back out past her pelvis. Stuck in a tight corset and encased in bandages, it became a slow and painful recovery process. To stave off boredom, Kahlo started painting. This she would continue to do throughout her life.
Because of these events, Frida was in a lot of pain and had difficulty moving. From that, this beautiful series was born Kahlo's dreams. In which she takes you into her moving imaginative dreams.
I recommend having this portrait by Kahlo printed on Artframe, Dibond or Aluminium. This will show this work at its best.
