This kingfisher works photographed at the Lepelaarsplassen near Almere. They are hard to find and often you only see a blue flash just above the water and then you lose them. However, once they sit down for their hunt (they dive from a branch into the water) they often stay seated longer and come back with their catch to the same spot. This is also the case with this picture. After a dive they just come back on the branch. You can still see droplets flying around.
