In the (art)work you can see a bright yellow sunrise (or sunset) reflected in the water. In the sky and in the water loose touches of lilac have been applied. The horizon is dark and suggestive. Just above the horizon a brown-orange colour can be seen.
The colour of the green and brown clouds matches the yellow sunlight well. In the foreground there are still blobs of paint clearly visible.
