From the Rijnhaven, an impressive view of the skyline of Rotterdam's Kop van Zuid unfolds. This long-shutter speed shot captures the magic of the night: the water of the river Maas turns into a silky mirror gently reflecting the city light, while the clouds move along the sky like stylised stripes.
In the middle of the image, De Rotterdam, the largest building in the Netherlands, stands out like a modern giant among the other iconic high-rise buildings. To its left, the tower of the New Orleans rises, while to the right the distinctive shape of the KPN building with its sloping roofline can be seen.
