About ‘Lago d'Antorno’ by Steffen Peters

Morning atmosphere at Lago Antorno in the Dolomites.

I took the picture in October 2023, when the temperature was slightly below 0 degrees. But the freezing was worth it and some very beautiful pictures were taken.
The main motif there is certainly the small wooden bridge. When the water is calm, the Three Peaks are reflected in the lake. In this picture, the Three Peaks are illuminated by the sun shortly after sunrise.
I was on my way with a photo group. With a total of 8 participants, we travelled through the Dolomites for a week and visited many beautiful photo spots. For the photo at Lago Antorno, we didn't have to drive very far and therefore didn't have to get up very early. You can park directly at the lake and start taking photos right away.

Lake Antorno (Italian: Lago d'Antorno) is a lake in the Sesto Dolomites in the province of Belluno, Veneto region.
The small mountain lake is located on the western foothills of the Cadini group about 2 kilometres north of Lake Misurina in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore. It borders directly on the toll road that leads from Misurina to the Auronzo Hut and the Three Peaks Valley of Lavaredo.
