The Lancia Fulvia is a fascinating model in the history of automotive engineering, which was created in the 1960s as the successor to the Lancia Appia.

Origin of the Lancia Fulvia
Introduction: The Lancia Fulvia was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. It was designed as a compact sports car and was intended to continue the Lancia tradition of innovative and elegant vehicles.

Design and technology: The Fulvia was designed by Piero Castagnero and was characterised by its striking, aerodynamic shape. It was equipped with a V4 engine, which was offered in different variants. The Fulvia was also one of the first vehicles to be equipped with a front-mounted engine layout and front-wheel drive, which contributed to excellent driving dynamics.

Model variants: The Fulvia was offered in several body styles, including saloon and coupé. The Fulvia Coupé in particular enjoyed great popularity and was appreciated for its sporty characteristics.

Motorsport use
Rally successes: The Lancia Fulvia quickly found its way into motorsport, particularly in rallying. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Fulvia was a serious competitor in various rally events. It won numerous national and international rallies, including the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally.
