An old shed in the middle of large lavender fields near Valensole in Provence, Provence in France is known for its beautiful purple lavender fields. In late June and early July, everything is in bloom. It is almost unreal to see those endless fields. Every now and then you see a little house or tree, but beyond that you can see as far as the horizon. Van Gogh liked to come here to paint in the beautiful light. The period he spent in Provence was the most productive period of his life. I am no Van Gogh, but I also like to come here to relax and enjoy the surroundings. French rusticity pure and simple!
