Layers of Earth in Rust by Color Square

This minimalist artwork depicts a tranquil landscape that appears to be composed of soft layers of earth, undulating horizons and subtle relief patterns. The composition consists of horizontal bands in warm shades of white, cream, beige and sand, alternating in a tranquil rhythm. The visible texture creates an almost tactile quality, as if the work were formed from clay, limestone or layers of earth eroded by the wind.

The raised structures contain fine, directional grooves that suggest the movement of natural elements. They are reminiscent of dunes, sedimentary layers, coastlines or gently rolling hills shaped by time and nature. It is precisely the absence of concrete details that gives scope to the imagination and makes the work particularly soothing.

What stands out is the subtle contrast between the smooth surfaces and the highly textured areas. This creates depth without the use of bold colours. The warm earth tone at the base acts as a visual anchor and brings balance to the light composition. The work exudes simplicity, tranquillity and a sense of connection with natural forms.

With its organic lines, neutral colour palette and refined texture, this artwork fits perfectly into modern, Scandinavian, Japandi and minimalist interiors where tranquillity, harmony and natural materials take centre stage.
