About ‘Lean on Me 01’ by Berber Knol

This work is part of a small series that explores the connection between women, a theme that stems from a very personal experience.

The watercolour was created during a difficult period in my life. Creating it gave me the space to acknowledge the emotions I was feeling and to give them a place. Not to push them away, but to allow them in. That period taught me something valuable: asking for help when you can’t cope on your own is not a weakness, it is a strength.

That sense of connection and surrender is exactly what I wanted to capture in this work. At first glance, you see two figures standing there. But if you look longer, you notice that the boundary between them is blurring. They flow into one another, become entwined, become one. The colours reinforce this feeling: they glide gently from one to the other, without a sharp division, without end.

Just as people can do for one another, if you allow it.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
