About ‘Lec de Ergobando’ by Petra Leusmann

View over Lake Carezza to the Latemar Massif in the Dolomites.
The small, clear mountain lake is also called Lec de Ergobando in Ladina because of its bright colour, which means rainbow lake.

Others call it a fairy-tale lake. A legend tells that a beautiful water maiden once lived in Lake Carezza. The sorcerer of Masaré fell in love with her.
To win her heart, the witch Lanwerda advised the master to disguise himself as a jeweller and to make a rainbow from the Rose Garden to the Latemar.
He followed this advice, but forgot to disguise himself.
Thus he was discovered by the water maiden, who disappeared forever in the lake.
The wizard was so angry that he threw the rainbow pieces and jewels into the lake.
This is the reason why the lake still shimmers in magnificent colours today. Even if it is only a legend, Lake Carezza shows its most beautiful side even without the many jewels of the alleged wizard.
Everyone who has the opportunity should therefore visit Lake Carezza once and admire the beauty of this lake, in the heart of the Dolomites. Lake Carezza is located in the municipal area of Nova Levante at an altitude of 1,520 metres above sea level.
Depending on the frequency and intensity of the precipitation, Lake Carezza has a water level of between 6.30 and about 22 metres.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
