About ‘Leidseplein Amsterdam’ by Paddy Amsterdam

This is a unique work featuring the tram and tulip-sprinkling tough woman on Leidseplein Amsterdam.

Leidseplein was the birthplace of the Graffiti scene in the 1980s. This is where all the graffiti fanatics gathered to bombard whatever passed by with 'tags'. Artists and pure daredevils.

You cannot imagine how crazy and fascinating was the sight of 10 young figures who had underdrawn a tram inside and out in 5 minutes in broad daylight.

Everything in this artwork is self-conceived and created by Paddy, the photograph, the custom décor with digital brushes and the tram that comes rushing in from Korte Leidsedwarsstraat. No tram comes from that street at all, but the speed effect is grandiose.

The lady was generated with a prompt to create the strong image between city toughness and the golden heart of the Amsterdammers, 020'ers, with the tulips.

The black rose represents well-known and lesser-known Amsterdam heroes (at least lesser-known to those not conscripted). Heroes who lost their lives but also left their mark, such as Rob Kaman, Gino Lightner, André Brilleman, High, Manfred Langer, Herman Brood, Johan Cruijff and, last but not least, Amsterdam's first mayor from the year 1343: Godevaert Wormbouts.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
