Lichtenstein Schloss: Autumnal splendour in Germany by Ewold Kooistra

The majestic Lichtenstein Schloss, located in Germany's Schwäbische Alb region, is surrounded by a breathtaking palette of colours in autumn. The surrounding forests transform into a picturesque scene, with warm hues of gold, red and orange covering the landscape like a living painting. This medieval castle, often referred to as the "Fairytale Castle of Württemberg," towers proudly above the valley, its white walls sharply contrasting with the autumn colours.

Morning mist often hangs low in the valley, making the castle seem to float in a magical world. Sunbeams break through the canopy and illuminate the historic stone walls, creating a dreamy atmosphere. The path to the castle is littered with fallen leaves, crunching under the feet of visitors as they explore the enchanted grounds.

The view from the castle towers offers a panoramic view of rolling hills and deep valleys transformed by autumn colours. Lichtenstein Schloss is a perfect destination for photographers, nature lovers and history buffs, all attracted by the unique combination of architectural splendour and natural beauty. In autumn, this castle becomes a place where fairy tales seem to come to life.
