During the China Lights Festival in Utrecht, you will be immersed in a world of light, colour and culture. This picture shows another angle of the festival, where a colourful Chinese dragon rises gracefully among flowers, gates and light ornaments. The colours splash off the screen, with deep reds, fiery yellows and sparkling blues combining to create a vibrant scene. The dragon almost seems to move, so full of energy and detail is the lighting design. The reflection of the light installation on the wet pavement stones adds depth and atmosphere to the image. For me as a photographer, this is a dream location, where every step offers a new composition and colour combination. It is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a visual celebration of connection between cultures, seasons and creativity.
